USC IV Ideas Thread - Ford Mustang Forum

So USC I involved 16 Mustangs, all from varying platforms. Short and sweet, but not much buildup. Also, quite a few "mismatches."

For the USC II, hype built up, and we took in some 64 entries. Longer contest, easier to avoid "mismatches," or make them so blatant.

In the USC III, we spiced things up a bit by making the competition ALL CLASSIC. We were hell bent on recruiting 64 Mustangs and we did (barely!). It was a pain in the ass, but the competition was deemed fair and a somewhat lively.

We're looking ahead to USC IV. What do you think? Do we choose another coveted Mustang platform? Take a different spin on the contest? Ditch the contest entirely and do something new?

just throwing this out there for discussion. how about a mustang video contest. make a video w/ your mustang, not on the race track bc that can be kind of boring going in a straight line plus it will be really short. but how about something more inventive, maybe some music, editing, etc.

i just thought since this is an online contest, people can use their computer skills and use their mustang as the subject. make some youtube or streetfire videos and vote on who's is the best, most entertaining. not necessarily most hp, or nicest looking, but actually driving it around. since thats what most of us do is drive it around on the street. i like watching youtube and streetfire for mustang/car videos and i'm sure others like it too.

I really like this idea. It kind of resembles that contest that Ford staged with their "Mustang Stories" contest. You would just need to come up w/ some categories for guidance, but this is cool. Definitely something video-based

or how about a most improved mustang. you could show pics or a video of the before, during, after shots of how you took a POS and turned it into a beastly beauty.

or maybe a battle royal type matchup. each bracket will be from a different generation of mustang, classic, foxbody, sn95, s197, maybe even a category for the mustang II. then the winner of each class face off against each other.

How about having the competition based on age of the mustang owner? You could have for example 25 and under, 25-50, and 50 and over classes. Something a little bit different.
