try a cold air intake, Flash tuner, Mac X pipe and some flowmaster 40 series mufflers. It also depends on how much you have for a budget...

Could you recommend a flash tuner? I want to be able to use this tuner later in the game when i start getting serious about making some snot

Will the tricks from my old 89 5.0L work with the newer one, like timing changes and what not? What about some mods to the trans (shift kit stall converter).

Can you also recommend a set of gears? Its a daily driver (40 mi/day) so i cant get too crazy with gears... whats this thing gonna run on the strip stock?

Sorry for asking a million questions, best to ask them all in one shot. Thanks in advance.

Gears are going to be your biggest improvement, I went with the 3:55's in the '03 IRS I put it, but if you are dragging it I would say 3:73 since you still drive it a lot. You can get to mid-high 14's on a decent budget, but the 94-98 model does not have the best engine to start with for all out speed. Yes old tweaks work but once you start getting a little deeper the stock EEC-V computer is going to start idle surging on you and it can get BAD. My recommendation is to go with a power adder if your engine isn't too far in it's life to handle it, and have a dyno place who can tune it (the one good thing about an EEC-V is that they can be tuned with a lap top). But overall if you want a drag car, go back to a fox body for the lighter weight, and leave the SN-95 to daily driving.

I have a fox body sitting outside right now with a crumpled front end from a deer i smashed which had basic 5.0 mods (CAI, homemade O/R H-pipe, bumped timing 4 degrees, electric fan), found a 95 GT to replace it because lets face it they look alot better.

The 94 -95 Sn-95 still has a 5.0 not a non PI 4.6 which are hard to get power out of. Just curious as too how much if at all the 5.0 changed from 93- 94, hoping it will respond to the same type of mods, my only worry is the factory slushbox, im not interested in a manual swap just yet, is this trans computer controlled, if so will a shift kit allow me to shift it myself without hesitation like a non computer auto, or will the computer need tweaking.

A few of my questions will probably toss me clear out of my league...but I'll take the info for future reference!!!

be careful with any gear changes. the computer in 95s doesn't like a major change in gearing.

The trans is computer controlled and the comp does not like gear changes. You would be better off taking the EEC-IV computer and wiring harness out of you fox body and putting it in the '95. The '94-'98 mustangs are some of the best looking in my opinion but they have the worst power plants and computers to mod unless you pick up a '97-'98 cobra.

Good luck I hope you can get what you want out of it, but I will always be more interested in the corners then the quarters.

In the wiring of the car there is a chasis harness (lights, radio, etc.) and there is an engine harness (self explanatory). You would have to change the whole engine harness because ford in the brilliant wisdome changed the pin configuration on the computers between the ECC IV and V. So each computer can run the other car but the plug on the wiring harness won't accept it. At this point I would either get a book with the wiring diagram for the car or just do your mods and take it to a place that can work with the stock computer.
