Vote for MrFarmdog's GT500 (703 RWHP!)

MrFarmdog's 2007 Shelby GT500

Here is a link to my You Tube video!

Welcome and I hope you all like my 2007 Shelby GT500. When I first bought my car in March my goal was to have a 10 second street cruiser, and for me a convertible was the only choice! I loved the look of the LeMans stripes on the coupes but they did not come on convertibles so I bought them and installed them myself. Now I feel it actually looks like a Shelby instead of just another Mustang convertible.

I have really enjoyed my car. In the past 6 months I have put over 8,500 miles on it, most of which have been Shelby related trips or vacations. It has been a blast to drive and is a real head turner, especially when I rip loose with the 703 RWHP (Thanks Kenny Bell!). The car has seen it's fair share of time at the track as well and I am very close to reaching my goal of having a 10 second cruiser!

Thanks again for reading and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Performance Mods
Tires - Nitto Drag Radials (Better traction)
Drive Shaft - Powerhouse 4 inch aluminum DS (Handle up to 1000 HP)
Rear Suspension – (eliminate wheel hop and help with launching)
  • BMR Upper Control Arm
  • BMR Lower Control Arms
  • BMR LCA Relocation Brackets
  • BMR Swaybar Relocation Brackets
  • QA1 adjustable rear shocks
Power - Kenny Bell 2.8 Supercharger with 3 inch pulley (Added ~300 RWHP)
Line Lock - Granatelli Tire Fryer Line Lock (heat tires up at the track without burning up clutch)
Shifter - Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter (better shifting performance - less missed shifts)
Exhaust - FRPP GT5 Axle Back Race Mufflers (Makes the car sound like it should with 700+ RWHP)
Rear Differential
  • 3.73 FRPP Gears (15% more torque above stock 3:31 gears)
  • Eaton Positive Traction Unit (eliminate loss of power through differential slippage)
Gauges
  • Speed of Sound A Pillar Dual Gauge Pod
  • Autometer Boost Gauge
  • Autometer Air Fuel Gauge
  • Raptor Shift Light (Don’t forget to shift at the track!)
Appearance Mods
  • Shelby Signature on Dash (Uniqueness of having a car signed by Carroll Shelby)
  • Tungsten Stripes (Convertibles do not come with stripes from the factory)
  • Window Tint (Blackens out the car and makes it look mean)
  • Shelby Floor and Trunk Mats (Adds a nice finishing touch to the cars interior)
  • Steeda Hood Struts (No more prop rod – need a say more?)

Special Thanks to My Favorite Vendors!

Kenny Bell - Kick A$$ product and great customer service!
DynoSpeed Racing LLC - Great local Memphis shop who did all installs!
Speed of Sound LLC - Gauge pod / switch plate experts and great products!
Tennessee Tint - Top notch work and great customer service!

That is the Vanderbilt Estate, near Ashville NC. My wife and I drove out there earlier this year! Definitely not my house!
