New Saleen SC?!?!

Came across a few "new" superchargers on eBay tonight. They are advertising 550hp with a modified twin cooled Series VI, 12 pound pulley, 39 pound injectors, and a specific SALEEN flash. hmmm

What gives with these kits? I was thinking the stock 3V wouldn't take 500+ ponies without being forged? And Saleen is OK with this??

Are these regular SC units with 12 pound pulleys and a specific flash?

In other words, can someone with the series VI and 475 upgrade kit buy the pulley and "e" intake tube, plugs and tune and make it to 550hp

Itll come damn close to blowing your engine...

But as far as the pulley and assorted parts for an existing series VI S/C, do you have that 550 at the crank?

If its 550 at crank, thats only about 465-470 at the RW, which is still under the magic 500 RW number where people seem to be having problems...

The new 550HP kit comes with everything you need....standard series 6 2.3 blower, 12 psi pulley, 39lb injectors, HTO plugs, 98mm maf housing/ air box top, intake tube, twin hi-flow pumps with harness and driver and JDM tune. No warranty!

The 550 kit is a safe upgrade for any responsable driver that knows how to drive a high performance car correctly. That said, a novice driver excessively redlining and abusing the car will not be so lucky. This kit is similer to the whipple and kb high horsepower kits which also do not come with a warranty. I dont blame you for being skeptical about that much horsepower but I'm sure once the first few kits are out and customers have a chance to experience it more people will be willing to try it.

Talking

thats right if you are good with your ride and dont beat on it it can take it.I have seen stock gts with kennie bell superchargers putting out that much.if you want more to the floor stroke that motor.because she will go boom.even JDM tells you to build up your bottom end.

I agree. The 2006 and 2007 Extremes came with 550 (crank) factory, but had forged internals so you could keep going horsepower-wise if you want. You've got no room for error or growth with the 550 setup on a non-forged platform.
