Question Saleen's retirement

I know this has been overly discussed, but I find it pretty interesting...do you guys think Steve Saleen's retirement will help, hurt or not even affect the overall market value of his cars?

hmmm

it is pretty difficult to predict future trends...but it's pretty relative if you are in it for the long term

Nobody investigates anymore

My guess is that 50% of Saleen buyers won't have a clue the man's retired..

These days, products are driven by consumer perception and product recognition...keep Saleen on the car and it will sell (and stay with usual trends)

I think the real enthusiast are already in the loop on Steve’s retirement and most are keeping their fingers crossed that new management will keep the business going and growing.

New business may question Steve’s involvement if he launches a new company and plasters his name and face all over the market. I certainly would ask the question if I saw him selling signature Camaro’s, Charger’s or Kia’s. It would be pretty obvious at that point that his participation in the company he created stops at the branding and goes no further.

Just my two cents.

+1 on Mark's comments....tough to say where the Saleen market will go. They're a blast to drive and enjoy....having a positive market speculation/outlook is just an added bonus .
