Question Power window trouble...

I went to work today, came home just as I would any other day. Tried to put my windows up and all went up except for the driver's side!! Completely dead. No mechanism or window motor. I only hear this clicking from under the dash below the steering wheel...ideas?? Oh, I own an '02 V6 auto if it makes a difference. Thanks...

Lightbulb circ. breaker??

is your motor running through a breaker instead of a fuse?? that would explain the ticking cuz the breaker would just reset itself

short circuit!!

I had the exact same problem a few weeks ago, only the driver's door window. I pulled of my door panel, unhooked and hooked up the wiring harness, took out the fuse for the window motors, and unhooked my battery for 15 mins. put everything back and it worked fine. I have no idea what caused it, but it has been fine every since then.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago....took out the fuse, had it tested and it was fine so I took out the motor and it looked ok but I thought I would replace it anyhow and I am glad I did cuz it worked so it WAS the motor...pricey tho..60.00 for a window motor!

if you want the window to go up/ pull the door pannel off, bang on where the window motor is with a hammer while holding the window switch up and key on. itll go up. your gonna have to replace that motor eventually
