lowering kit vs. bigger rims?

Would a lowering kit make the car ride rougher? If thats the case then I will get larger rims/tires.

Go with the bigger rims. Lower will make it scrape bottom.

if you get bigger rims w/ lower profile tires, the ride will be rougher also, less sidewall to cushion the impact. if you just lower your car w/ the same rims, sidewalls, shocks, the ride should be not much rougher, but should handle better. it all depends on the lowering kit you get also. you could get the roush or steeda lowering kit which lowers 1-1.5 inches, the roush kit is less lowering that the steeda. it also depends how much bigger rims you are going to get also, bigger rims means less sidewall, generally speaking of course. what are your options?

I have 20's, and a 1.5" lower ride... I don't like potholes ... But I love taking her to the track!!
