TS SC and belt slippage

i had a whipple SC installed about 5 months ago, and now i have what i think is belt slippage. it seems to be a common problem w/ TS SC, KB, whipple, saleen, roush, etc. the instant torque tends to bend the tensioner and cause belt slippage, leading to boost loss, power loss, maybe even shredding a belt. so i just got the Thumprrr tensioner in the mail yesterday and we'll see if it fixes the problem. it's supposed to be the 'balls best' tensioner, unbreakable. the thing does weight about 5 #'s and looks like its bullet proof.

the tensioner is in, the noise is less, but is still there. i just ordered an 8 rib conversion. 8 rib belt and all the pulleys, and an extra belt, w/ 2 different size pulleys. so i am ready for battle. i am tired of this sound so i am just treating this problem shotgun style, i am upgrading everything, not waiting for this or that pulley to go next, replace everything.

i think it is one or 2 of the idler pulleys. there is traces of belt slippage on both of them and excessive dust around the drivers side one below the alternator. i'm still waiting for the 8 rib kit from BGG performance. i havent lost any boost, just that sqeaky sound is annoying!

update:
got the 8 rib kit over the weekend, and the SC pulleys yesterday, also had 1 more SC pulley from a friend so now i am ready to put it in. i have 3 different setups: 6#, 10#, and 12# pulleys, 2 8rib belts, and all the pulleys. hopefully i get them in tomorrow. i'm gonna try the 10# pulley first bc that's what i'm running now, if that fits and works well w/ the belt size and all the pulleys then that's what i will run. if it doesnt work right i will go w/ the 6# pulley or the 12#. w/ the tensioner and 8 rib kit you may pick up 1-1.5 #'s of boost more, so we'll see where i'm at on the dyno tomorrow also.
untill tomorrow, Stangzilla is still sleeping under the covers.
