V6 shifter swap

Has anyone done the Hurst shifter for the V6 manual tranny? Will it cure the notchy gear engagement?

i havent done or driven a hurst in a v6. but i have driven one in a GT and it was notchy, more than the stock shifter. my Pro 5.0 shifter is also more notchy than the stock one, but the shifts are more precise, i never miss 3rd, and it can take a lot more abuse than the stock one. hurst also has a new billet shifter which is supposed to be better than their 1st one. but idk about the one for the v6.

V6 shifter swap

I did this swap about a year ago. I really like the HURST short throw shifter. It took about 30 minutes I think. Make sure you use lock-tite on the new bolts for the stick. Mine vibrated loose and fell out while I was getting on the interstate.

It was an easy swap with 2 people. One up top, one underneath.
