has anyone had experience with this engine in a roadster? how streetable are they? my dad thinks it'll have way too much motor and my car will be overpowered.

He hit the nail on the head. The car is way too small. You'll be happy with a way smaller motor.

Do you really want to swap out the motor when the car is finished? Sorry Dad!

You will need drag radials. I use Nitto's with matching tread Nitto fronts. If this is your first really fast car you must go really easy until you get used to it.

Without drag radials you will have to try hard not to burn the tires. Stay out of the gas in turns until you get used to it, the big drag radials help out here also.

To Dad's credit, though, you can always use a throttle stop until you get used to it. 2 engines also cost twice as much btw

the 427R is very streetable, just get used to the power, and have fun. that's what mustangs are for, and w/ this 427R it will be more fun. just be safe.

but depends how young you are. i know when i was i high school i had a '77 w/ a rebuilt 302, and that was plenty power for me at the time idk exactly the hp, maybe 300 if i was lucky. if i had a SC on there i would have been dangerous. my friends in hi school had blown camaros with much more than 500 hp. so i think its not too much hp, you just gotta learn to respect it.
