The Ford Motor Company, JWT Team Detroit and members of Filmaka.com are hosting a contest to see who can compose the best Mustang-themed short film. The tagline? “Everyone has a Mustang story—what is yours?”
The finalists were recently announced for the contest, and the film titled “
Numskull” – directed by Zack Resnicoff and written by Sonny Calderon – was one of ten winners chosen from 22 semi-finalists who were given $5,000 to produce their works. That’s a lot of Mustang ads.
Entrants in the contest have either chosen between eight storylines provided by Ford and JWT or produced their own. Each of the ten winning entries, including “Numskull,” is receiving a 60-second ad spot each week during the
Knight Rider series.
The grand prize winner will be given the privilege of directing their own promotional film for the much anticipated
2010 Mustang launch in November.
