For many congregations around the world, a simple drop in the offering plate and an appearance at the annual bake sale is all it takes to display one's fellowship. For the Sacred Heart Parish of Erie, Pennsylvania, however, that fellowship includes raffling off a brand new pony car.
The parish has raffled off a Mustang for the past three years. This year, they’re upping the ante with a vehicle that sits in Roush Performance’s top fleet: a 2008 Roush BlackJack Convertible.
In true special edition form, only 100 of these bad boys were made for 2008. Check out the plate in the photos below, and you’ll see that this beaut is #40.
Like all Roush-made pony cars, the BlackJack is loaded with plenty of aftermarket candy: Roush-built suspension, brakes and powertrain. Oh, and of course, the 430hp ROUSHcharger.
Add to that a variety of aesthetic mods as well. The car features plenty of black—in the trim, in the stripes and in the 18” forged Roush wheels. And the bright red brake calipers set it all off.
Pricing for ticket packages are as follows: 1 for $10, 3 for $20, 10 for $50, 30 for $100 and 120 for $300. Tickets and more information regarding the raffle and the parish can be found
here.
The Roush BlackJack is valued at $62,000, so unless you’re purchasing about 25,000 raffle tickets, you’re getting a pretty good deal. And of course, it’s for a good cause. The raffle is on October 5, 2008, so be sure to buy your tickets soon!
