QUANTUM PERFORMANCE GRAND OPENING TO OFFICIALLY LAUNCH SHELBY MOD SHOP AND MUSCLE CAR REPAIR FACILITY ON MAY 31
Free Car Show, Dyno Demos and Other Fun to Mark Day
Quantum Performance, an official Authorized Shelby Mod Shop dedicated to the care and upgrade of all American muscle cars, will celebrate its grand opening on May 31, 2008. The family event, which will take place at Quantum Performance’s state-of-the-art shops at 13700 Diplomat Drive in Farmers Branch, will feature a free muscle car and hot rod “Show & Shine” Car Show from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. food, performance parts vendors, dyno contests and free admission and parking.
“Our facility is based on decades of experience earned at some of the most famous, credible motor works in the United States,” said Kenny Northum, managing partner. “We’re proud of it and our team, as well as our association with Shelby Automobiles. So we wanted to show it off with an event that really caters to enthusiasts and their families. The hot rod and muscle car show will be the highlight of the celebration, with prizes for top entries cars from the three major American marques.”
Quantum Performance offers a full complement of speed equipment, as well as an upscale customer service area and parts store. The company maintains, restores and customizes American contemporary and vintage iron by Ford, GM and Chrysler.
“With our experienced staff and high-tech facilities, we can handle anything from classic GM, Ford, and MOPARS to the newest Detroit iron,” added Glenn Martini, partner. “And thanks to our relationship with Shelby Automobiles, we’re the official ‘go-to’ shop for Shelby enthusiasts across the Southwest.”
Shelby Automobiles chose Quantum Performance as its third Mod Shop location. The “Southwest Shelby Mod Shop” facility installs packages that enhance the handling, styling and power of current generation V6 and V8 Ford Mustangs and Shelbys for enthusiasts in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Louisiana. The Shelby Mod Shop offers Shelby “Super Snake” packages for the 2007 and 2008 Ford Shelby GT500, the Shelby Terlingua Racing Team, CS6, CS8, and Shelby GT500 40th anniversary packages, as well as clothing and accessories. Each vehicle will sport an official Shelby badge denoting the origin of all modifications for inclusion in the official Shelby Registry.
Quantum Performance will also enhance Mustangs with authentic Shelby Performance Parts. Individual components will include upgraded brakes, superchargers, suspension components and cosmetic pieces such as hoods and fascias exclusively designed at Shelby Automobiles. Shelby factory experts will be actively involved in helping the Mod Shop meet Carroll Shelby’s personal expectations for quality and delivery.
The team at Quantum Performance has an extremely impressive resume. From the owners to the shop staff, the group has been involved in building, maintaining and manufacturing race cars, high performance vehicles and American muscle cars for the past 40 years. The roster includes individuals with experience on race teams and at the Shelby factory in Las Vegas.
“We’ve been building both high performance cars and high profile businesses for years,” noted Northum. “And though Quantum has been making customers’ cars better and faster for the past several months, we waited until May for our official grand opening. This allowed us to make sure the facilities were working flawlessly and the weather would be perfect for a great party. We hope everyone will visit us and enjoy a high octane event.”
Northum and Martini will showcase the facility’s numerous amenities, including a customer lounge area that features wireless Internet, free coffee bar, free conference room, flat screen HDTV, and windowed service bays that allow owners to follow the progress of their cars.
