It’s been awhile since we’ve heard reference to a Boss Mustang, but in 2008, Team Shinoda’s making it possible. This time around, it seems the folks at Team Shinoda want everyone to have a Boss in their driveway, offering a wide array of packages, for the penny-pinching pony car enthusiast to the Stanger who wants all the muscle he or she can get.
Offerings start with the 2008 Boss Shinoda Legacy package, the lowest priced option. It also leaves room in the bank for the enthusiast who prefers to personally add the mods. The Legacy package includes a Shinoda Spoiler, the Graphics pack (either Vibe or Hockey Stick style), an engine cover, custom floormats and pedal covers. This one’s available for either V6 or GT platforms. Note: If you’re trying it out in the convertible, you’ll get a bit of added flair with the light bar.
Cranking up the heat under the hood produces the Level I Boss Shinoda—a 350 horsepower beast with a suspension upgrade. While the performance upgrades are significant, one could still consider a Level I Boss Shinoda as a daily driver or simply a weekend racer.
But for those who can't decide between taking the kids to soccer practice and occasional street racing, Shinoda offers the Level II-S, Level II-FR and Level II-T packages. The Level II-S and II-FR include a hefty Vortech Supercharger that can only be outperformed by the Level II-T’s upgraded Turbocharger. Keeping in mind the possibility that these may still be daily drivers for the more eccentric enthusiasts out there, Shinoda offers BCS Level II Suspension for the Level II-S and II-T. The Level-II FR gets a bump up with the Ford Racing Handling Pack, BCS Control Arms and Panhard bar.

For the ultimate Ford Racing enthusiast, the Level III Boss Shinoda is effectively a tricked out masterpiece from the two companies. Touted as the most powerful production Mustang available to date, the Level III produces a whopping 750 horsepower and includes a BCS Level Three Suspension upgrade. The Level III is for the enthusiast who wishes to make it to the fourth quarter of 2008 and still be unparalleled on the road.
Wait, did we forget to mention the Boss 429? Team Shinoda didn’t want to offend the nostalgic whims of Boss enthusiasts, so they were sure to include this classic package. Naturally, it comes equipped with the naturally aspirated 429 horsepower 3-valve aluminum engine and stays on top with the BCS Level Three Suspension package. Shinoda knew that the Boss 429 would turn heads regardless, so they left all of the flashy graphics and decals out of the picture, instead leaving the contents under the hood to drive home the vehicle’s elegant supremacy on the road.
