If it wasn’t for the spy photographers in this world, how would we ever know about models three years before they came out? Certainly, without the Internet and hobby paparazzi, we would have to wait for “press releases” like everyone else. Yet again, I come back to the question: How the hell did anyone survive before the Internet existed?! Phew, thank goodness for Brenda Priddy & Company, who have always come through with great spy photos—this time of an alleged 2010 Ford Mustang.

Of course, the pony car is heavily guised with protective camo, so we can only speculate as to what lies beneath. Of course, the interior and exterior will be completely rehashed, but we have no idea to what extent. Judging from the front and rear fascia, it appears this one took some slight cues from the concept Gallardo Mustang. The headlamps and taillights are particularly noteworthy in their distinction from current models. Expect some modification of the grille as well, although its difficult to tell from these photos with the camo.
While there’s no way to convincingly speculate on what’s under the hood, rumors of a BOSS 5.7-liter V8 engine option for 2010 have been spreading like wildfire on the net. But the facelift won’t be conclusively revealed until, at the latest, its production begins in January of 2009. Other sites have reported that its scheduled on sale date is 2009’s first quarter. Until then, savor these spy photos. Oh, and thanks, Brenda.
