Inspiration/Story behind your Stang: It's my toy and my hobby and thus a work in progress. I drive it when ever it is reasonable to do so and my son who came with me to pick it up in Dec. 2006 as a 2 yr old is now 3 and we spend a lot of good time together polishing wheels and cleaning it as well as riding around with the top down. He goes to the car events with me and goes to bed to a DVD of my drag race videos since I don't let him come to the track yet due to so many cars with open headers there even on street night. The car has really given us something that as a mid 30's and a pre-schooler we can enjoy together, not just do together. One day this car will be his....maybe by then it will be done
Special thanks to Automotive Specialists in Noblesville, IN for all of their help with many installs, Evolution Performance for leading the way for GT500 R&D and everything else these guys do, and Jon Lund for his great tune that I have yet to get on the dyno but dropped my qtr time by over 2 tenths and has me pushing for the 10's still
I am planning to try to enter the King of the street comp. for 2008 although I'll need some different sized rims for Nitto tires since 19" is not available. I may need to go back to stock rims as I don't want to buy new rims just for that. I have a new throttle body coming soon and fully expect to lay down a very impressive Dyno number with that on a dyno jet shortly. Win or lose this car for me is the Ultimate Stang! I am impressed by the quality of cars in the challenge for the first go round and am sure we'll see some great ones for round 2 as well. Thanks for any votes, comments, and suggestions.
