Inspiration/Story behind your Stang: It's my toy and my hobby and thus a work in progress. I drive it when ever it is reasonable to do so and my son who came with me to pick it up in Dec. 2006 as a 2 yr old is now 3 and we spend a lot of good time together polishing wheels and cleaning it as well as riding around with the top down. He goes to the car events with me and goes to bed to a DVD of my drag race videos since I don't let him come to the track yet due to so many cars with open headers there even on street night. The car has really given us something that as a mid 30's and a pre-schooler we can enjoy together, not just do together. One day this car will be his....maybe by then it will be done

Special thanks to Automotive Specialists in Noblesville, IN for all of their help with many installs, Evolution Performance for leading the way for GT500 R&D and everything else these guys do, and Jon Lund for his great tune that I have yet to get on the dyno but dropped my qtr time by over 2 tenths and has me pushing for the 10's still

I am planning to try to enter the King of the street comp. for 2008 although I'll need some different sized rims for Nitto tires since 19" is not available. I may need to go back to stock rims as I don't want to buy new rims just for that. I have a new throttle body coming soon and fully expect to lay down a very impressive Dyno number with that on a dyno jet shortly. Win or lose this car for me is the Ultimate Stang! I am impressed by the quality of cars in the challenge for the first go round and am sure we'll see some great ones for round 2 as well. Thanks for any votes, comments, and suggestions.

my videos

the video links are pre-KB blower - just an FYI. I'll be back at the track on Wed. 10/10 looking for a high 10 sec. pass if I can get the launch right.

Didn't quite get the 10 Sec pass but made 11.25 @ 129.53 with a bad 1.77 60" time. Will try again this week and get more runs in. I learned not to try to work on new things at the track. I blew a fuel pump fuse and thought I was going to be walking home....managed to figure it out in time for 1 last run before the rain started so 2 runs for the night were and 11.3x and 11.25. Not bad but not yet where I am going!

Ran at the track again and got a new best. I actually had one run at my goal of a 10.991 but I can't prove it due to a broken printer....I have the slip for an 11.041 @ 133.01 MPH though with a 1.63 60'. I also had a run with a trap speed of 134.56 which is a new best for me. I had a poor start though and only netted an 11.3 for the run but should have a video of this one coming that shows a nice wrinkle of the tire even with my 1.821 60'. I will post as soon as posible....scan of the slip to follow as well.

time slip

here is the time slip for the 11.041@ 133.01. I'd love to get a chance to run at a nice place but they are leaving me alone in a vert with no role bar as long as I have a fire jacket and helmet so I can't complain much about the conditions I guess.

R U using a Raptor Shift light? I thought

I saw somewhere that you had that listed. I am not sure where on the PCM to connect the Tach wire. Any help you could provide would be great! thanks much

sorry for the delay in my reply - I had not been on line in a while here. Anyway I didn't go to the PCM I went to a coil and set it to 1 cylinder and that works just fine. i couldn't figure out where to put it in the PCM either and took the easy way out.

Good luck
