1972 Mach 1 Mustang "Project: Crazy 'Stang"

Hey everybody, what's up????? MustangRacerZX here, asking u to vote for me when I get into battle, even though my car isnt running, plus a friend and I are restoring her on a very low budget, and we need the $2500 and the Saleen stuff to really get started on the project, I hv all the parts I need to get the engine rebuilt, but dont hv the money to get it done......due to 15 yrs. of sitting around, rusting and decaying away to nothing, the body needs major work, rust spots completely through the body, from what I can see the frame needs very little work but still needs to be done..........anyway Plz vote for "Crazy 'Stang" when I get challenged, thnx

P.S. I hv 2 challenge requests, the first: I would like to challenge "Checkers" to a match between 2 heavyweight classics, his '69 Mach 1 428SCJ against my '72 Mach 1 351C big block....and the second, I challenge "BlueDemon03" with his '03 GT Mustang show car against my '72 Mach 1, in a battle to determine the best looking mustang, Old School vs. New School......

Not to be a Buzzkill but...

The 351 Cleveland was a smallblock engine. The smallest "big block" was a 352 which was a underbored 390.

Not quite, the smallest was a 332, which was in the FE family as well.
Clevelands and modified clevelands were smallblocks

Very good, guys.....not many ppl realize that the Cleveland and Modified Clevelands were small block, cuz everybody I've told about my car, they all think because its bigger than a 347 stroker, that its not a small block, but I tell them that it is...........and to be quite honest, my 351 is actually a Modified Cleveland, complete numbers matching, and all stock; My uncle was the 2nd owner, then he sold it to my grandparents, and since neither one of them wanted it, so I got it, and I'm still restoring it; When my Uncle owned it, of course being a local drag racer, put it on the track, with only race fuel and D.O.T. Drag Radials, he got it in the 11s; Bet at this point, ur wondering what transmission is in it, well its the factory C6 4-spd automatic, and the rims on it are the original Magnum 500 5-spoke wheels

Sounds like one heck of a project... I wish you the best of luck with her... A friend of mine is in a similar situation with a 70 fastback... it is sitting outside all the time and cats live in it... yuck... But, he is getting her put in the garage to start work on her and intends to make it all original... I hope he can do it!!
