this is just a guesstimate bc i am more familiar w/ the s197's vs the new edge mustangs, but i think the hp gains will be pretty similar. and i suggested the resonators bc i had LT's, o/r x pipe and MBRP muffler deletes, alot like LM's, and it was stoopid loud. i mean i was afraid to get on the throttle to much bc it would attract all kinds of unwanted attention. i would be going 55 mph but it sounded like i was going 155 mph. when i was passing this old guy on the highway he nearly crashed bc my loud exhaust startled him as i came on the side of his car and he swerved and looked at me like i was some insane street racer, but i was only going 60 mph. lol. so i just put in some pypes m80 mufflers welded in before the rear axle and it is much more pleasurable to drive. tame on regular driving but loud as hell at WOT. but you can always try it w/ all straight pipes and see how you like it, if its too loud then change it. but back to the hp guesstimates.
under drive pullies - 5-10 hp
cold air intake - 15-25 hp
throttle body - not too sure
plenum - not too sure
electric water pump - 10 hp
aluminum drive shaft - you might free up 5 hp at the wheels, but will be quicker accelleration.
lightwheel flywheel - same as DS
long tube headers - 10-15 hp
off road x pipe - 5-10 hp
all that adds up to more than 30-40 hp, but i like to estimate conservatively. but my rule of thumb when it comes to mods is take their hp claims and always use the low number for an estimate, bc in the real world the gains are never what the company claims. just for an example i had 260 rwhp/280 tq stock, this is just an estimate, my friend that dyno'd my car and put in the mods said this is what he usually gets for the s197 stock on his dyno. after putting on LT's, o/r x pipe, and mac boomtube muffler deletes and JLT CAI i got 301 rwhp/ 305tq. i've seen other w/ similar mods get a little more than me.
do you plan on getting the LT's and midpipe first? thats what i would do, i like the hp gains and the sound it gives. exhaust is my favorite mod.
