Bolt on hp gain?

as of rite now im stock besides an slp loudmouth catback

just ordered a zex nitrous kit but i dont want to be slow off the bottle so ive decieded to go all out with bolt ons

all i need from you guys is to know which does the most so i can get them in order of importance and best bang for my buck!

car is a DD that i need EVERYDAY besides sunday so things such as head work and camming it isnt an optional for now

heres a list of bolt ons ive found with an estimate of price (if i forgot anything feel free to add to the list for me). and if i will gain even more rwhp while spraying please include that! i know all this is just an estimate but i want to find out from people that arent paid by the company to calim 15hp when others say you really olny get 3. thanks alot for your help

under drive pullies - 180
cold air intake - 150
throttle body - 200
plenum - 200
electric water pump - 150
aluminum drive shaft - 250
lightwheel flywheel - 300
long tube headers - 350

those are all good. i would do the UDP's and E H2O last, those will get you the least power. and if you plan on keeping those SLP's you might want to consider putting in the LM2 resonators just for better sound on a DD. i'm guessing you will gain about 30-40 rwhp with all those bolt ons.

thanks alot for the input!

honeslty i like being ridciuolsy loud

when i get on it, she sounds amazing

could you however please give the mods themselves with an hp estimate instead of just saying 30-40rwhp PLEASE

olny reason i say this is because i will olny be spending like 200 bucks a month so id like to know what to get each month. rite now im considering waiting 2 months for headers....

this is just a guesstimate bc i am more familiar w/ the s197's vs the new edge mustangs, but i think the hp gains will be pretty similar. and i suggested the resonators bc i had LT's, o/r x pipe and MBRP muffler deletes, alot like LM's, and it was stoopid loud. i mean i was afraid to get on the throttle to much bc it would attract all kinds of unwanted attention. i would be going 55 mph but it sounded like i was going 155 mph. when i was passing this old guy on the highway he nearly crashed bc my loud exhaust startled him as i came on the side of his car and he swerved and looked at me like i was some insane street racer, but i was only going 60 mph. lol. so i just put in some pypes m80 mufflers welded in before the rear axle and it is much more pleasurable to drive. tame on regular driving but loud as hell at WOT. but you can always try it w/ all straight pipes and see how you like it, if its too loud then change it. but back to the hp guesstimates.

under drive pullies - 5-10 hp
cold air intake - 15-25 hp
throttle body - not too sure
plenum - not too sure
electric water pump - 10 hp
aluminum drive shaft - you might free up 5 hp at the wheels, but will be quicker accelleration.
lightwheel flywheel - same as DS
long tube headers - 10-15 hp
off road x pipe - 5-10 hp

all that adds up to more than 30-40 hp, but i like to estimate conservatively. but my rule of thumb when it comes to mods is take their hp claims and always use the low number for an estimate, bc in the real world the gains are never what the company claims. just for an example i had 260 rwhp/280 tq stock, this is just an estimate, my friend that dyno'd my car and put in the mods said this is what he usually gets for the s197 stock on his dyno. after putting on LT's, o/r x pipe, and mac boomtube muffler deletes and JLT CAI i got 301 rwhp/ 305tq. i've seen other w/ similar mods get a little more than me.

do you plan on getting the LT's and midpipe first? thats what i would do, i like the hp gains and the sound it gives. exhaust is my favorite mod.

One thing I have learned, besides Intake/Exhaust and of course supercharger, the other mods are only good for a few HP, barley noticeable...

very true. a little here a little there. maybe other than the intake and exhaust, a little appearance mods may be more worth while.
