2000 V6 Mustang Question?

ok so this is just a random question that i have been wanting to know for a while, why is it that v6 mustangs redline at 5500rpm? and is there any way to make it redline higher by adding some sort of mod maybe a stroker kit or something, i don't know which mod im just throwing ideas out there, but for all of you who do know how to, can u please let me know how? thanks in advance.

I don't think even if you raised your redline it would add HP. You need more mods for power. Go with intake/exhaust.
