Oh God, Don't Let Me Do It!!!

I love my turbo 1992 gt, but I really love the new shelbys and their potential to own the streets. So should I drop the 50K on the shelby or keep my turbo car?? I have a 4 car garage and don't have the room for 2 stangs. Just wondering if anyone here feels that I'm crazy droppin 50K on a mustang. If anyone wants to make me an offer on the car please do...

I would love to do that but i want to get the car as a collector piece and do not want to take of the sc and put a turbo in its place and jeapordize the integrity of the value. I would take a kenne bell and put the eaton in storage.

Z06?! Are you kidding?! If you can, keep the fox and get the Shelby. But if you are willing to spending more than 50k, you friggin better drive that car and not just have in that biga$$ garage!!!

No, I'm not kidding.

The Z06 would be a much better choice compared to the overweight GT500. The Z06 is a better car in every aspect that you could compare a car (except price lol). But a straight comparison of the two and I don't see one aspect where the GT500 beats out the Z06 (speed, handling, braking, looks, etc......the GT500 just doesn't compare).

Give me a vette over any Mustang. Ford has built us a powerful but fat bastard that's good for Viagra-filled old men with huge IRAs who can afford to drop $50k on something that is depreciable, and never expect it to go around a corner with authority. 3200 lbs vs 3900 lbs? That's nuts. I'd rather build something insane that I like, not buy something off the showroom floor and put nothing more than gas into it.

Then again, a Z06 is 25 bones (big bones, that is) more than the GT500, if you can escape any sort of dealer mark-up, so it makes sense from a sticker-shock standpoint.

Maybe I'm maturing (ah shit), but I don't see the point in putting $50k toward anything that won't appreciate. Unless I can get my cash-printing machine fixed, that is...until then, I have to spend reasonably
