Do we have a parts counter here?

I'm looking for 2, rt. lt. headlight bezels for my 68. I left my car in Idaho with a friend and he moved it with his tractor and as it had no bumper it front at the time he rolled it into the back of his shop and damaged the headlight bezels (still to this day have not contacted him and it's been 4 years). They are aluminum as you guys know and tho the damage is minor I don't think they can be fixed. I'm wondering if there is anywhere in this forum that you guys might get used parts? I can get them new NOS but I really don't have like 450.00 to spend on each side and to my knowledge the only side left in NOS is the lt. side, rt. side all gone

In the rear they're called quarter extensions, it's the painted portion of the front fender that surrounds that headlight.

Thanks for letting me borrow your car BA, filled her up for ya

I thought the 'bucket' was what the headlight was attached to, oh well Thanks for taking the time BadAss but that right one is in worse shape that the one that I have on there now. The right one looks good BUT, I would have to know for sure that the year stamped on it is 68 and not 67 I'm trying to re-open my Ebay acct. to contact him. But thank you VM for chasing that down for me, I guess I could have but I think I've only bought one thing on Ebay in my life.
And where do you see them for a buck 25, I think those are repro and if you've ever seen the repro casting you wouldn't have them on your car. It's also super thin and just looks like it was cast in a foreign country if you catch my drift. I just looked at my NPD (National Parts Depot) catalog and the NOS part for the passenger side was no longer available and the drivers side was 450.00 I'm pretty sure, and the repro were about what you said 125.00 I'll see if I can find it....

TY

*EDIT* Ya know, after further review I did a little research and I'm finding the 'headlight extension' for around the price you quoted BA and some of them appear to have the originl P/N C7ZZ-13008-DR (check it out) I really wouldn't mind paying the extra cash for a new part if they really are available. I don't know what I was reading when I saw the 450.00 price unless I read it wrong or maybe it was attached to a fender or something, I'm confused. I'm going to make a few calls tomorrow and if these folks have 2 68 buckets that have a 68 stamp on them I'll go ahead and buy new, I'm excited!!!

Well I got the headlight extension question cleared up and it's information for ALL Mustang pilots and their parts. There is no such thing as a OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) part for a Mustang any longer, if you find one it's as much luck as finding a NOS (New Old Stock) part. The part that I put up C7ZZ-13008-DR is created buy a guy that bought the rights to manufacture the part using the original tooling but they are not the same as OEM because they are missing certain casting numbers and codes that Ford used. These parts would be great for someone that needs to get his car running after a wreck or just to have a new part that for all practical purposes you can't tell the difference from original but for someone restoring a Mustang to original specs these parts would not work for obvious reasons. All the people that I talked to said "your now hunting on Ebay" I talked to California Mustang and the Mustang Depot, the 'Depot' has better parts of the two but I don't think anyone beats NPD. I hope everyone got something out of this...
