Steeda releases new Watt's Linkage suspension upgrade

As enthusiasts prepare to parade their Mustangs around town and enter their rides in local shows, the aftermarket industry continues to pump out various options for pony cars worldwide.

Recently, Steeda released a new polished suspension package that falls in line with the most technically innovative of its kind to date. The new system features a Watt's Linkage setup for S197s, which serves as a lateral positioning element in a multi-link suspension—a feature other suspension packages have failed to provide.

The comfort of the ride is significantly decreased by the movement of the Panhard Bar's body mount, which rises and falls with suspension motion as the axle moves laterally to the chassis.

The Watt's Linkage element, however, replaces the Panhard Bar and grounds all forces of inertia at a lower spot for a much more stable ride. It essentially eliminates all of the lateral motion in the system's mid-operating range.

Whether you're into street performance or simply tracking your Stang, this new upgrade looks to offer a stable comfort where a panhard bar would offer an otherwise loose axle feeling ride. That stability is essential when attempting to control the vehicle at its limits.

The upgrade is fully adjustable and available this month through Steeda Autosports. Check out the complete technical layout of the package from Steeda.com in the reply below.
