Post George Henriquez's 2007 Parnelli Jones Ford Mustang

When the 389th 2007 Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Ford Mustang rolled out of the shop, it was hauled to a West Coast dealership where it sat on the showroom floor—until George Henriquez laid eyes on it.

Initially, the Beach Cities Mustang Club member was in search of a GT500 to compliment his driveway, but the Grabber Orange coupe did just that. “I had never had a car affect me that much, and after the test drive I was sold,” says Henriquez. “At that moment, I knew I had my dream car!”

He was always a fan of Saleen Mustangs, since the early 90s. Henriquez was especially floored when the ’94 Saleens came out, specifically the S351 and the Tim Allan and Steve Saleen race team. When he saw the PJ Edition Mustang, he had to own it.

Right now, the vehicle remains stock while he’s enjoying the show scene. “I enjoy taking my Saleen to car shows, cruise nights, and just driving it!”
The car gets quite a bit of attention from all ages. “I have noticed that it makes grown men act like little boys looking a new shiny Hot Wheels car,” says Henriquez. “My three year old son calls my wife's car “Mommy's Car” but he calls my Saleen "Our Car." I plan and hope one day to pass it down to my son.”

The Parnelli Jones Edition is certainly an enjoyable ride, but the remains one biting question over his shoulder: “Do I modify it or not?”

While she’s currently dressed up just as Parnelli Jones would have it, a little modding never hurt, right?
