I think if congress was smart they would make these companies file bankruptcy first so that they can legally get rid of the unions that have driven these companies in the ground. Until these companies stop paying upwards of $75 an hour ( after all benefits, retirement, holiday pay, etc) to push a bolt through a hole they will never be financially sound. I agree something needs to be done but all they are doing is putting a band aid to slow the bleeding. It will just prolong the problems. Until these companies re-evaluate how they do business things will not change.
I personally have no problem givng the big 3 a loan. I just am smart enough to realize it will not help a thing.
