For many enthusiasts, it doesn’t seem practical to go and purchase a 2008 Mustang from the dealer because they’re being given away like
hotcakes! The latest giveaway is taking place in the Joliet Area Historical Museum in Joliet, Illinois, where organizers are raffling off a torch red 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 convertible! Proceeds will benefit the museum.
Once the museum received the vehicle from Rūb Ford Inc., it seems they were reluctant to give it away too quickly. The vehicle is currently on display in the museum’s lobby where it stands aside “The Route 66 Experience” exhibit and the upcoming “Soaring Achievements of John C. Houbolt” display.
Tickets are $35 each or three for $100 and only 3,500 will be offered. The winning raffle tickets will be drawn at the museum’s 7th Annual Gala Ball, “Fly Me to the Moon: A Star-Filled Night at the Museum” on Saturday, October 4, 2008. Winners will not be required to be in attendance to win.
The first place winner will be able to choose between $25k or the Shelby GT500 (the latter of course) and five second place winners will receive $1,000 cash. Sweet!
