I have always used Krylon Semi Flat Black (not Semi Gloss). I restore most makes but I am mainly a GM restorer and the 1613 matches the underhood finish on the GM cars PERFECTLY. This is based on comparisons to quite a few well kept, wrapped, NOS parts. I too recently found that I could not buy it any more and tried the 51613 Satin. I had just painted other parts with my remaining Semi Flat black and and did a couple test spray overs on them and the sheen on the Satin Black is noticably shiner (more gloss). It is good to see a Brand Manager from Krylon actually talking to us here and maybe with some luck he may be able to reintroduce the 1613 in one of their lines.
