Roush Performance awed enthusiasts with the finesse featured throughout the
Roush 2008 P-51A Ford Mustang, a tribute to the aftermarket company’s performance prowess and the Mustang’s iconic imprint on American culture.
Now, the powerplant that was first used in the P-51A is being introduced to the general enthusiast community. Ford Mustang S197 owners will now have the opportunity to produce up to 700 horsepower beneath the hood with the Roush Performance TVS2300 ROUSHcharger®.
Coming straight from the factories in Livonia, Michigan, the TVS2300s have been primed to cater to the needs of all performance enthusiasts, whether they need a completely new kit and a warranty, the maximum amount of horsepower with a custom tune, or simply an upgrade from their current build.
That’s right—now, custom tuners can grab TVS2300 ROUSHchargers® separately and calibrate them accordingly. Roush Performance has never offered tuners the opportunity to customize a kit including cold air intake system, unique fuel rail 52 lb.-hr. injectors, a dual 60 mm electronic throttle body, all hardware, brackets and instructions, all for $5,899 with a one-year component warranty.
"The gloves are off for the specialty tuners to get really creative with a ROUSHcharger® now," said Joe Thompson, general manager of ROUSH® Performance. "We’re excited to see what some of these guys can do with the new TVS2300 ROUSHcharger® and really explore the type of performance that this new unit is capable of. We’ve heard some numbers from a couple of exploratory installs already and I must say that they are very impressive."
