Awhile back, Shelby Automobiles announced the opening of their excited new factory-authorized mod shop in the heart of the southwestern United States. This week, the shop, Quantum Performance Ltd., began production at full steam. Shelby Automobiles has already shipped out “Super Snake,” CS8 and Terlingua Racing Team packages to their mod shop.
Quantum is one of three mod shops that currently provides tweaked-up Shelby and Ford Mustangs to the southwest US, including customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
“We’re excited to begin cranking out Super Snakes, Terlingua Racing Team cars and other post-title modified Shelbys,” said Ken Northum, managing partner of Quantum Performance. “The demand is very high in this region for these ultra high-performance American muscle cars and the facility has now moved into high gear to satisfy our customers.”
Some enthusiasts simply cannot settle with base V6 and V8 Ford Mustangs and Shelbys, so Quantum takes care of scratching their itch. A Shelby factory-trained team is able to offer handling enhancements by professionally installing Shelby “Super Snake” packages for the 2007 and 2008 Ford Shelby GT500, the Shelby CS6, CS8, Terlingua Racing Team and Shelby GT500 40th anniversary packages.
